Parish Council

Parish Council Meetings

Parish Council meetings are usually held on the second Monday of each month, except for August, at 7pm at Shipbourne Village Hall. The next meeting will be held on Monday 14 July 2025.

Climate Change

Shipbourne Parish Council adopted its Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan in October 2022 and this was formally launched at our Parish meeting on 6 February 2023. The launch was very well attended by 25 parishioners. A copy of the Plan is in Policy Documents. If you would like to become part of our Climate Change Group and/or receive a copy of the presentation, please email the Clerk at [email protected]

PLANNING

TMBC is the local planning authority responsible for determining planning applications. Shipbourne Parish Council is a statutory consultee and we have a strict 21-day deadline for submitting our response to an application which must be based on a material planning consideration. Our planning responses are decided at our monthly parish meeting, however, if a deadline falls between meetings, we have a policy whereby comments are circulated between Councillors and agreed via email. For larger applications, we will either call an extraordinary meeting or request an extension. For all current applications and information on planning, please visit https://www.tmbc.gov.uk/planning-applications-appeals/planning-view-comment-planning-applications
